Hot Baked Feta Cheese Dip with Honey - Simple Recipe
My Baked Feta Cheese Dip is an easy twist on baked feta pasta. Using similar ingredients, the baked feta and honey are combined with fresh and sundried tomatoes, for an impressive appetizer that's sure to get everyone's taste buds tingling at your next party.
Ingredients
- 2 blocks Feta Cheese - around 7–8 oz each
- 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes - quartered
- ¼ cup Sundried Tomatoes - chopped
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Honey
- ½ tsp Red Pepper Flakes - optional
Optional Garnish
- Fresh Basil Leaves - torn
- ¼ cup Cherry Tomatoes - sliced
To Serve
- Pita Breads - warmed
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 400°F (205°C)
- Place the feta blocks in the center of a small baking dish. Surround them with the cherry tomato pieces and sliced sun-dried tomatoes.
- Drizzle olive oil over everything.
- Place in the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the tomatoes are starting to brown and feta is softened.
- Stir all the ingredients together until well incorporated
- Optional: For a golden top, broil (UK - grill) for an additional 2 minutes - watching the dip all the time so it doesn't catch and burn.
- Drizzle with honey, sprinkle with red pepper flakes (if using) and garnish with fresh basil and sliced cherry tomatoes if desired.
- Enjoy with warm pita bread for dipping!
